Kazakhstan, which ranks second in the world in Bitcoin mining, continues to deal with the protests against the government and the internet problems.
Because the internet and electricity cuts in the country also disrupted mining activities.
Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies were also negatively affected by the disruptions in mining activities, and there were sharp decreases in the market.
It was discussed that some mining companies operating in the country would leave the country due to the problems experienced.
However, an official from Chinese BIT Mining, one of the largest mining companies, which moved its operations to Kazakhstan after the bans of China, stated to local news sources that there is no question of leaving Kazakhstan and that the events in the country are expected to return to normal on Monday.
Chinese journalist Colin Wu, who also shared news about the crypto market, shared on his Twitter account, “The crypto industry expects the country to return to normal next Monday.” said.
Wu added to his post that miners were not affected because they were mostly located far from the area where the problems were experienced, but they were not able to mine due to the internet outage.
Because the current riots are mainly concentrated in the urban area of Almaty, most of the miners are in remote areas. It has not been heard that any miners have been robbed, but they cannot mine because of the network interruption.
