Building land also remains scarce – and therefore expensive. For a long time, experts have been calling for more projects to be carried out, especially in inner-city areas. Because in principle, land consumption for settlement and transport purposes should rather decrease.

And even those who can afford building land and materials are often desperate in search of free appointments with craftsmen. The persistently low interest rates are providing little cheer.
