iPhone models will now be Type-C all over the world!

The European Union Parliament has been holding talks for a long time on the fact that smart phones, tablets, computers and similar technological products have different charging ports and the environmental waste load created by this situation. As a matter of fact, it has been decided that iPhone models will use the Type-C connection. This was followed by support from the USA and another country.

iPhone models will now be Type-C all over the world!

About 6 years ago, all electronics manufacturers started integrating Type-C into their devices. Although initially we only see these entries on flagship phones and tablets, they are now available on almost all devices.

Of course, Apple continued to use its own patented technology, the Lightning input. But after a point, he started using it on his computers and tablets in order to take advantage of the features that Type-C brought with it. In fact, the ends of the cables connected to the charging adapters have also turned to Type-C. Now, it will make this transition on their phones as well. But this time, not of his own accord.

A new ‘copying’ crisis may arise between Apple and Samsung. An Apple executive accused Samsung of theft.

All devices, including Apple’s iPhone models acquired by the European Parliament, will have a uniform charging input. According to the statement, a time was given until the fall of 2024, that is, the release date of the iPhone 16 series.

But the EU is not alone in this decision. US lawmakers Ed Markey, Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders a universal common charger standard stated that it was lacking. In this context, they wrote a letter to Gina Raimond, the US Secretary of Commerce, saying that this problem should be resolved by the ministry.

But the US does not insist on Type-C as Europe does. So Type-C, Lightning or Micro USB, they don’t care which one. Instead, they say they want to see only one type. But after the USA, Brazil made a similar statement to the EU.

Anatel, the relevant institution in Brazil, said that standardization would be in favor of consumers, so a USB Type-C port should be introduced instead of Lightning. For this, he gave Apple until July 1, 2024.

Considering all this, we can say that the iPhone 16 model will have a Type-C port. But instead of waiting so long after these decisions, Apple can see its own business. Of course, such a transformation is no longer possible for the iPhone 14 series, which will be introduced this year. However, it is stated that there are returns that we can see in the iPhone 15s.
