Interest rate concerns put pressure on Wall Street

new York Interest rate worries have hit Wall Street again ahead of more balance sheets from US banks. A surprisingly strong recovery in industrial activity in the state of New York caused nervousness, which stockbrokers believe gives the US Federal Reserve more leeway for further interest rate hikes. The three major indices were all up about 0.3 percent: the Dow Jones to 33,987 points, the tech-heavy Nasdaq to 12,158 points and the broad S&P 500 to 4151 points.
