Berlin, Frankfurt, Dusseldorf The Heidelberg AI start-up Aleph Alpha is attracting the interest of international investors. The investment arm of the chip group Intel wants to participate in the company, as several people familiar with the talks said. Intel Capital wants to come on board as lead investor in the current Series B financing round.

On the one hand, Aleph Alpha would thus gain greater access to the US market and, on the other hand, it would gain access to an extensive network. In Germany, Intel Capital is best known for its stake in the flux taxi pioneer Volocopter.

AI highly sought after by investors

Existing investors also want to participate in the financing round. AI is popular with venture capitalists. Bessemer Venture Partners decided just a few days ago to invest a total of one billion US dollars in AI start-ups. The fund is also invested in Aleph Alpha and is also expected to participate in the current round of financing, it said.
