Instagram is the second most used social media platform in Turkey and in the world. TikTok, which came out during the pandemic period and rose rapidly, rose to the top in a short time. Instagram, on the other hand, aims to make the user experience better while trying to beat its rival by bringing new features. The newest of these is the ability to comment with GIFs on Instagram.
Instagram is working on GIF commenting feature
Social media giant Instagram is working on the ability to comment with GIFs. On the platform, Instagram users only respond with text and emojis, as has been the case for a long time now.
According to the Twitter account with the username @hammodoh1, GIFs will appear in the right corner of the comment box. Users will comment on Instagram by clicking on the box with the GIF symbol.
On the other hand, the ability to comment with GIFs has been on Twitter and WhatsApp for a long time. While Twitter users leave a GIF for the tweet they want to reply to, WhatsApp users likewise send messages between chats.
The ability to comment with GIF is currently being tested by Instagram. It is not yet known when it will come to the stable version. In addition, there are no more details about the innovation.
On the other hand, Instagram removed the Store tab, which was added to the platform two years ago, from some of its users. Testing its new submenu, the app has added the Store tab to the Settings section for now. Expressing that they will remove this tab before, the company announced that they will do this to offer users a simpler interface. In other words, where the Store tab will be located is currently unclear.
