For many families, the dream of owning their own home in the big city can no longer be realized.

Frankfurt/Cologne Ronald Slabke has had a busy year. His company Hypoport, which includes the mortgage broker Dr. Klein heard, had to withdraw the forecast after the trend reversal on the real estate market. “If something didn’t leave me cold in autumn 2022, it was the adjustment of the internal structures, which was associated with job cuts,” says the head of the SDax group in an interview with the Handelsblatt.
He gets really angry when it comes to the federal government’s housing policy, gladly also on the short message service Twitter. For many interested parties, the dream of owning their own home is currently over: “For many families, this is a disaster.”
