We couldn’t do a one-month test with the Huawei Watch Ultimate. But we only charged this smartwatch once, and that was when we got it. The device has been actively used in our video shoots since then, and has entered a few days of testing.
During this testing process, we tried to really push the clock. 24/7 SpO2 and heart rate monitoring remained active. It constantly followed our steps and location in the background, and hosted every control that could be made on the phone. Conclusion? The charge level hasn’t even reached 50% yet. In our estimation, it will be able to offer 10 days of life even in such an active use. If you shorten the usage features a little, you will be able to easily reach the 14-day lifespan.
Yet another surprising point was the interaction speed between the smartwatch and the phone. We used the Huawei Watch Ultimate with both the iPhone 13 and the Samsung Galaxy S23. Every command we sent to our phone with the device was performed as if touching the phone, without any delay, regardless of the operating system and ecosystem.

Reflection of software and hardware features on usage:
One of the biggest features Huawei offers in its smart watch is that it supports five different satellite connection systems. We tested it in locations that our operators prefer not to like.
Huawei Watch Ultimate was able to detect our location at points where our phone had no signal without any problems. While in exploration mode, we recorded two different locations several hundred meters apart and were able to reach the same locations with high accuracy. We did not experience the exploration mode with a long excursion.
When we look at the pure software side of the business, we encountered a single negative point. While you can send messages back to Android devices even with the keyboard on the watch, unfortunately this support is not available on iPhones. You can only read the messages and delete the notification.
Of course, this minus point is not caused by Huawei. Apple prefers to keep this feature in its own ecosystem. Still, we can consider this as a minus for smartwatch users.
When we look at the applications within the device, basic sports applications welcome us. However, within the Huawei AppGallery, you can access many applications developed for Huawei Watches.
How about durability?
There is no need to enter into any discussion under this heading. Huawei Watch Ultimate promises high durability even under extreme use. Therefore, you do not encounter even a scratch in standard use.
We also carried our smartwatch with keys and other items in our bag for a while. He established intimacy with these objects on our shaky walking journey. When we took it back out of the bag, we managed to find it in the same condition we put it in.
