According to this table, in the scope of the current regulation, the tax-free price (base) is up to 120.000 TL and the engine cylinder volume does not exceed 1600 cm3. 45 percent excise duty was being taken. The statement made by Nurettin Nebati, keeping the SCTs constant, focuses on raising the base. Therefore, not the taxes collected from the vehicles, but the tax brackets of the vehicles will be changed and at least 45 percent SCT will continue to be collected.
So how is the price of a car calculated?
Let’s assume that any car enters our country through customs. The company that brings the vehicle sets a price after putting the cost of the vehicle and the profit margin. this price base is happening. Then, the SCT segment of the vehicle is calculated based on its engine volume and base, and the SCT amount is determined for this vehicle. After this stage 18% VAT is added and the selling price of the vehicle is determined.
