In the first days of the war, exchanges of fire took place in the immediate vicinity of the Presidential Office. According to Time magazine, Volodymyr Zelenskiy was handed a rifle by his bodyguards so that he could defend himself in an emergency. He didn’t have to use it. He didn’t want to hide either.
