How investors can make money from the heat pump trend

So now heat pumps are coming into fashion: according to the will of the federal government, from 2024 every newly installed heating system should be operated on the basis of at least 65 percent renewable energy. Heat pumps are intended to replace gas heating as the dominant heat source in German households. Such trends are also interesting for investors.

The analysts from the research house Markets and Markets expect that the turnover in the heat pump market will increase from USD 53.2 billion last year to USD 83.5 billion by 2026.

However, investors cannot easily participate in the upheaval in the heating market. Because purebred heat pump stocks do not exist. And the heating engineers based in Germany, who also manufacture heat pumps, are family-owned like Vaillant and Viessmann or, like Buderus and Junckers, now belong to the unlisted Bosch Group.
