How dependent is Lukashenko on Putin?

Berlin Mr. Shraibman, Belarusian President Lukashenko has announced that he will support Russia with soldiers and set up joint units. What does that say about his position of power?
If it actually comes to that, it would mean that Alexander Lukashenko’s dependence on the Kremlin is now so great that he can no longer follow his own political tactics to stay in power – if Putin has other plans. For the Belarusian public, Lukashenko is the peace-loving, the neutral, who only supports Russia indirectly. The Ukraine war is extremely unpopular in Belarus, including among the regime’s supporters.

What is the indirect support for Russia so far?
Belarus has already provided military facilities, airfields and its airspace. Moscow is also supported on the international stage. Minsk’s representatives at the UN always vote for Russia. This also applies to other organizations.
