564,000 Honda CR-V recalls
According to the latest information, Honda is recalling approximately 564 thousand vehicles. The reason for the recall, which covers CR-V models in the USA manufactured between 2007 and 2011, is cited as corrosion caused by de-icing agents on the window frame.
Honda first conducted extensive research into the problem after it issued a similar recall in Canada in 2019. After the research, the Japanese manufacturer determined that cars sold in the USA would not be subject to the same wear as vehicles in the Canadian market, and therefore concluded that there would probably be no corrosion in the vehicles.

Honda, which is stated to have received 61 customer complaints regarding this problem between September 2018 and March 2023, aims to solve this problem with the recall process. Authorized dealers will inspect recalled vehicles for corrosion and install a reinforcement to protect against breakdowns or offer to take back vehicles where the problem is too advanced.
Recalls expected to begin on May 8, US Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Washington DC.
