According to the statement made by GreenPower, Mega Beast, which has a 387 kW battery and a range of approximately 300 miles (480 kilometers), is currently the longest, most powerful and widest school bus in its class. Mega Beast, which uses a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack, is actually a development of the Beast model, which has a 197.3 kW battery with a range of 140 miles (225 kilometers), offered by GreenPower in recent years.
Although the 140 miles (225 kilometers) range seemed sufficient for a school bus, it was not enough for long distance trips or continuous trips throughout the day. Of course, difficult weather conditions were also taken into consideration. In light of these reasons, the brand focused on the Mega Beast model and launched its model with a range of 300 miles (480 kilometers).

While a diesel school bus is sold for around 100 thousand dollars, electric buses have prices ranging from 300 thousand to 400 thousand dollars.
