During this period, drivers can get their new type of driver’s license for only 15 lira. However, starting from January 1, 2025, they will need to pay approximately 5 thousand liras for renewals.

Authorities warn drivers to submit their applications early due to the intensity that may occur in the last months of the year. Those who want to renew their driver’s license can complete their transactions by making an appointment via Alo 199 Call Center, mobile application or “nvi.gov.tr”. Following the applications, new driving licenses are printed by the General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs and delivered to the addresses via PTT.
