Handelsblatt Green: What to do with electronic waste?

San Francisco Year after year, the tech industry presents the latest models of smartphones, tablets and computers at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. Sustainability is becoming more and more important when it comes to innovations.

Corporations like Apple and Samsung advertise recycling as many of their products as possible. However, more than 50 million tons of electronic waste are still generated every year, only a small part of which is recycled.

How this percentage can be increased is explained in this episode by Handelsblatt Green Lisa Jackson, Vice President for Sustainability, Politics and Social Commitment at Apple, as well as Markus Reuter and Rolf Degel, who work in the circular economy of the SMS Group from Mönchengladbach.
