In 2020, the Victorian Supreme Court admitted that Defteros in the article had hinted at collaborating with criminal gangs. Google, on the other hand, filed an appeal to the court for the lawsuit. However, this application was not accepted.
In its application to a higher court, Google made serious warnings for censorship of search results.
