Google is preparing to make changes to its Workspace applications. All features and data of Hangouts will be transferred to Google Chat. The application, which has been left to its fate for a while, on 1 November will officially end. Google says this change will offer users “the only messaging solution and better integration for Workspace.”
The software giant said earlier this year that Google Chat would become the default app for messaging. Now it has started to migrate its users to Chat. Gmail, Hangouts app and Hangouts Chrome Users who try to enter the service with the extension are automatically directed to Google Chat.

In the new reminder shared for Workspace users, attention was drawn to November 1, 2022. While Google has already suspended its plans for Hangouts, it plans to unplug the app from November 1st.
