Good signals for the travel industry – and also for investors

Cologne There is hope again in the tourism industry: from May 1, 2022, fully vaccinated people will no longer need a PCR test for a trip to Thailand. Both the obligation to test before departure in the home country and upon entry will be completely abolished. Australia has opened its borders to tourists after a long corona lockdown. Traveling in Europe is also possible with a corona test or vaccination. These are good signals for the travel industry, which is suffering from the consequences of Corona like no other.

And it’s good news for investors, too. Because while companies in many sectors have long since recovered from the pandemic, the development of airlines, hotels, rental car companies and large travel groups is lagging behind. Tour operators are now reporting bookings at the same level as before the pandemic.
