Good news from Microsoft for entry-level graphics card owners!

Microsoft came up with an idea that could revolutionize ray tracing technology. Ray tracing technology requires high-performance graphics cards due to the heavy processing power required for high-quality graphics. However, the solution offered by Microsoft can reduce this demand and make it possible for even lower-spec graphics cards to benefit from ray tracing features.

Essentially, Microsoft’s proposed system aims to optimize the ray tracing process using a level of detail (LOD) system. LOD allows the graphics card to run faster by reducing the detail in graphics in certain areas, such as distant objects. This means the graphics card does less work, resulting in better performance without any noticeable loss in visual quality.

It is thought that this technology from Microsoft can make it more suitable even for graphics cards that previously could not run ray tracing or could barely run it. This could make it possible to experience ray tracing even on lower-spec systems, while providing better performance and visual experience for gamers.

However, no more details are known yet about how exactly this system works, and it is unclear how effective this system will be in practice rather than theory. Regardless, such a development could enable ray tracing technology to reach a wider user base and could be an important turning point in the gaming industry.
