Frankfurt The Dax started Friday trading with slight gains, driven by the latest US economic data and positive indications from the Asian markets. With almost 15,800 points, the leading German index was 0.4 percent higher in the morning.
The barometer is driven by Vonovia with a profit of three percent and Heidelberg Cement and Porsche Automobil Holding with premiums of around two percent each. The plastics manufacturer Covestro presented its quarterly figures on Thursday after the stock market closed and are 1.3 percent higher. At the end of the Dax spectrum, MTU, Commerzbank and Merck are listed at discounts of around half a percent.
Surprisingly good Chinese export data are noticeable in early Friday business. In addition, the most recent US producer prices on Thursday, which were weaker than expected, also had an impact.
