In the “Giovanni Zarrella Show” Maffay was one of the stars of the show on Saturday evening (ZDF). At first he sang alone, then in a duet the hit “So bist du” with host Giovanni. And was honored for his world record.
“This is a record for the ages. 20 number one albums, nothing like it has ever happened before. Not in Germany, not in the world. A world record. ”, Says Zarrella in awe.
“This is amazing,” says Maffay modestly. And then smugly joked about the world record award that was presented to him: “THAT is a size, I can hide behind it”.
In the end, Zarrella revealed that his mother is also a big fan of the musician: “When my mother heard that you were there, she asked directly which plane she had to take”. EVERYONE in the hall was very touched.
By the way: Zarrella can also be happy. For the second time, it led through the big Saturday evening show from ZDF – with top ratings. If his debut had been watched by 3.69 million viewers in September, 4.85 million people now tuned in.
