Giant Recruitment from Chainlink! Facebook’s Diem Project Leader Incorporated!

Blockchain project chainlink Labs, Meta’s (formerly Facebook) diem announced that it has hired Christian Catalini, one of the founders of the project, and Stanford cryptographer Dan Boneh as technical advisors.

Chainlink connects real-world data with smart contracts on blockchains. European telecommunications giant Deutsche Telekom is known for being one of the main companies providing data to Chainlink.

Catalini and Boneh will work in the field of Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), a new international standard for decentralized cross-chain messaging and data and token movements. With CCIP, users can connect different Blockchains via Chainlink network. cryptocurrencies will be able to carry out smart contracts transactions.

Chainlink founder Sergey Nazarov said: “We are bringing together the greatest minds in cryptoeconomics and cryptography to work with us to ensure CCIP is the most secure cross-chain protocol in the world.”

Prior to joining the LINK project, Catalini was the co-founder of the Meta Platforms-owned Diem Association, which wanted to create a stablecoin, and also served as chief economist at the company. On Wednesday, the Wall Street Journal reported that Diem Association had sold its technology to Silvergate Capital for $200 million.

Catalini and Boneh will also work on Chainlink Labs’ research team in the economics section of LINK 2.0’s Whitepaper.

LINK is known for expanding its advisory team by recruiting aggressively lately. The company also acquired Google’s former CEO Eric Schmidt in December. Schmidt was instrumental in the development of many iconic Google services such as Gmail, Google Maps and Chrome.
