German stocks start weaker on Friday

Frankfurt German stocks start Friday trading with little movement. The Dax was calculated little changed in the late morning with a minus of 0.1 percent at around 15,970 points.

On a day without any significant news from companies, Rheinmetall and Vonovia lead the list of winners in the Dax 40 with price increases of more than two percent, while at the bottom end Symrise lose more than three percent, Bayer, BASF and Brenntag give way more than one percent. In general, German chemical stocks are suffering from a profit warning from the British specialty chemicals group Croda.

Among the smaller stocks, Auto1 are out of the ordinary. The SDax share gains more than seven percent, driven by a very positive outlook from the US used car platform Carvana.
