Galleries started to sell brand new cars as second hand! How is mileage done?
The prohibition of 6 months and 6 thousand kilometers, which was brought to prevent opportunism in automobile sales, entered into force yesterday. In this way, it was aimed to prevent galleries from buying 0 vehicles from dealers as they arrived and then selling them at high prices. In other words, companies that generate income by buying and selling vehicles are now prohibited from selling new cars.
Therefore, if the galleries buy a brand new car, they will have to keep this vehicle for at least 6 months. In addition, these cars also need to reach 6 thousand km before being sold. In other words, they have to travel an average of 1000 km per month. Otherwise, even if the vehicle is kept for more than 6 months, it will not be sold again. In other words, there are 2 rules, both 6 months and 6 thousand km.

However, as you can see in the image above, in some sites where 0 and 2nd hand cars are sold, vehicles sold as 0 km started to be listed as 6001 km as soon as this rule came into effect. However, when you look at the image below, you will see that the vehicles have never been used and even their gelatins are still on it.
In addition, the tires on all of these cars look immaculate. In addition, the treads of the tires have never been worn and even the stringy protrusions on them remain. In other words, they could have made a range of at most a few kilometers. Of course, not only the tires, but all parts of these cars are untouched. So there is no doubt that they are zero km.
Not only that, there are also those who openly say that the vehicle was purchased from the dealership and try to sell these untouched vehicles for 6001 km. So they are clearly breaking the new regulation that has come into effect. Of course, under normal conditions, people who do this job should be fined 8 thousand 400 TL per vehicle.
But everything seems to fit in the cover. Because, looking at the km of this vehicle, whose engine has only been started a few times, it is possible to see 6001. They do this by connecting to the brains of vehicles. However, since some brands do not allow this, they can temporarily replace their brains with an old model version.
In fact, there are galleries who say that even if they have never used the vehicle, they run 6 thousand km on the belt and add fuel and maintenance costs to the price of the vehicle. For now, it is unclear who buys these vehicles and under what conditions.
Another option is to carry out the trading business through an individual. Although the person making the sale appears as a gallery in the advertisements, they can actually sell the car not by the company, but by their acquaintances or employees, without being stuck with this regulation. Since the site is sold under the name of the gallery, the number of kilometers is written as 6001.
In other words, ignoring the ban is actually not as difficult as it seems. However, we may see a change if the sanctions that come with this regulation begin to be implemented.
