Fully Vaccinated Will Not Appear ‘At Risk’ When They Have Contact

The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey made an update on the ‘Contact Tracking, Outbreak Management, Home Patient Monitoring and Filiation’ guide today. With this update, an important change was made regarding the tracking of HES codes of individuals. With the change people who have had at least two doses of the vaccine or have had COVID-19 in the past 6 monthswhen they come into contact with a positive person HES code will not look risky.

According to the update made by the Ministry, the people in question will be registered in the Case Tracking Module as contact, even if the HES code does not seem risky. In addition, no restrictions will be applied to people and these people will be able to follow protective measures such as masks, social distance and hygiene and follow their own symptoms. will go on with his daily life.

Testing will be mandatory on the 5th day of contact

Contact persons whose HES code will not appear to be risky, if no symptoms develop will have to perform a PCR test on the 5th day of contact. If he does not have a PCR test, on the 6th day, the HES code will become risky and quarantined. If the PCR test is positive, he will be treated and followed in isolation conditions.

If the person’s PCR test is negative, his registration in the system will be terminated on the 6th day of contact. In case of detection of Beta, Gamma and Delta variants, which are defined as ‘variant of concern’ by WHO, the person will be isolated for 14 days. PCR test will not be performed for early termination of isolation of individuals, and isolation will be terminated without testing on the 14th day.
