According to the latest information, Sam Bankman-Fried will retract his decision to appeal his extradition to the United States at his hearing on Monday in the Bahamas.

The owner of the cryptocurrency company was indicted in federal court in Manhattan on Dec. 13 and accused of plotting to defraud FTX customers. Prosecutors said he used the stolen client deposits to pay expenses and debts and to invest on behalf of crypto hedge fund Alameda Research LLC.

Bankman-Fried, 30, was arrested last Monday in the Bahamas, where he lives and is headquartered in FTX. She was taken to Fox Hill prison in the Bahamas on Tuesday after Chief Magistrate JoyAnn Ferguson denied her request to stay at home awaiting her extradition hearing to the United States.

Bankman-Fried’s spokesperson or US attorney has yet to respond to requests for comment. A spokesperson for the US Attorney’s Office in Manhattan declined to comment.

Bankman-Fried filed a new bail application with the Bahamas Supreme Court on Thursday, a person familiar with the matter told Reuters.
