new York New task for Joachim von Schorlemer: After retiring as deputy head of the German branch of the major Dutch bank ING last autumn, he has taken up a new position at the US strategy consultancy Teneo. As a senior advisor, he is to support companies in strategic and crisis communication, as the Handelsblatt learned in advance.

Teneo, headquartered in New York, sees itself as a “global CEO consultancy”, i.e. it is primarily aimed at top managers. Around 1,600 employees in more than 40 offices worldwide advise company leaders on questions of communication, investor relations and restructuring.

Teneo’s customers include Dax and Fortune 100 corporations as well as medium-sized companies. Teneo has been active in Germany since 2021, wants to grow strongly here and is expanding its Berlin and Frankfurt offices for this purpose.

“Teneo has made impressive progress in Germany in a short space of time. I am very much looking forward to becoming part of such a dedicated and competent consulting team and to contributing to further growth in this country,” says Schorlemer.
