In an interview with the Handelsblatt, the prominent economist Mohamed El-Erian sees good reasons for the lead of the European stock exchanges. But the economic advisor to the insurer Allianz, who is also President of the British Queens’ College, warns against too much euphoria after the significant price gains of the past few weeks and months. El-Erian fears that 2023 will also be a “bumpy year” for the stock markets. Investors should be tactical, especially when it comes to bonds.
