The highest hike in fuel prices in recent years has come. EPGIS officially announced the expected ‘war hike’ after the Russia-Ukraine war that started yesterday morning.
Energy Oil Gas Supply Stations Employers’ Union (EPGİS) officially made the feared statement. After the Russia-Ukraine war, the expected fuel hike was announced with the oil prices that took flight. Accordingly, 1.61 TL per liter of gasoline; 1.51 TL per liter of diesel was increased to reflect the pump price. The new pump prices will be valid as of February 26.
In fact, this hike was already expected. Because with the start of the Russia-Ukraine war, brent oil prices skyrocketed. It was inevitable that such an increase would come. Moreover, the Turkish lira depreciated as of the beginning of the war. All these developments made the fuel hike inevitable.
The explanation of EPGIS on the subject is as follows:
Effective from 26/02/2022; There has been an increase in gasoline, 1.61 in diesel, 1.51 TL/LT, reflected in pump sales prices…
How were the fuel prices in the big cities?
Fuel prices were above 15 TL throughout the country. With the hike that will be valid as of tonight, these prices will be a little higher. For example, the liter of gasoline, which is 15.26 TL as of today, will have increased to 16.87 TL as of tomorrow. Diesel price in İzmir will increase from 15.57 TL to 17.08 TL.
