According to Murray’s team, the attacker sent the stolen funds to a wallet address linked to cryptocurrency exchange Binance and Unionchain.ai. The identity of the culprit has not yet been determined.
Although the Ethereum tokens collected in the charity organization have now been stolen, the user named Mishap72 on Coinbase sent 120 ETH, which corresponds to approximately $ 187,000, to compensate for the losses.
Murray’s team said it prepared a police report and worked with crypto analytics firm Chainalysis to bring the attacker to justice.
