Ethereum and This Altcoin Postponed Critical Launches! New Dates

Holesky, which will serve as Ethereum’s largest testnet, encountered problems in its initial phase. Simultaneously with ETH, Tip Coin is also postponing its launch date.

Ethereum Holesky testnet launch fails

The Ethereum community has been waiting for the official launch of the Holesky test, which will replace the Goerli testnet. However, according to Colin Wu’s latest statement, the project did not start due to “some parameters did not match”. cryptokoin.com As we reported, Holesky is the largest Ether testnet in history.

As Ethereum celebrates the one-year anniversary of its transition from proof-of-stake, known as “Merge,” developers introduced Holesky on Friday. By replacing Goerli, Holesky aims to double the size of its testing environment.

Regarding the issue, Wu Blockchain said, “Due to the incompatibility of some parameters, Holesky could not be launched today. It will be twice the size of the mainnet and will be Ethereum’s largest testnet with 1.46 million nodes,” Holesky wrote.

The problem is misconfigurations

Ethereum core developer Parithosh Jayanti confirmed that Holesky will include 1.4 million validators to solve the mainnet’s scalability issues. Holesky is known as the third testnet on Ethereum. The previous ones were Goerli and Sepolia. However, the expected launch date requires a reboot due to a configuration error.

The first blocks of the testnet have appeared in a new Blockchain explorer on the website beaconcha.in. Developer Jayanthi said, “We do not want to experience a scaling problem that may occur for the first time on the Mainnet. We want to catch scaling issues on the testnet. This means we need to have a testnet larger than the main Ethereum network.”

Tip Coin postponed its token launch date

Tip Coin, which is in its infancy, posted on social media on September 16 that the team suffered disk damage caused by upgrading its computer system (Win10-Win11). The project therefore decided to postpone the token launch to September 19. The altcoin team, which has been postponed like Ethereum, writes the following in the official announcement:

We have decided to postpone our launch as planned today, Monday, September 18th at 16:00 UTC. Besides the issues we’re currently facing launching, launching this late would be unfair to many time zones.

Internally, we had two teams — bot detection and data ingestion teams. The frontend and Twitter end (Swapo) were prepared, but our pre-launch claims team encountered a corrupt disk (Windows 10 – > 11). All data is safe and backed up, but this caused obvious delays.

TipCoin, an Ethereum-based ERC-20, allows users to tip other Twitter users for their content and engagement. With the postponed launch, the TipCoin team is keeping its community curious with an exciting tweet. According to official statements:

We’re putting all our development effort into regrouping and getting everything in order for a perfect launch this Monday. Thank you for your support. See you on Monday. This is the last tweet of this topic, our official contracts have been put into effect. Launch is Monday. Be careful.
