Berlin Actually, it is right in the first chapter of the coalition agreement: The traffic light wants a modern state and a digital awakening. But so far there is not that much to see – other crises such as the war in Ukraine or the corona pandemic dominate day-to-day business.
Verena Pausder, entrepreneur, investor and author, has decided to remind politicians of their own promises. She fears that the crises could be used as an excuse why digital policy is not progressing.
So far, she has lacked a concrete plan from Digital Minister Volker Wissing as to where the journey should go. “The topic would deserve a lot of attention,” says Pausder. She calls for better storytelling to make digital politics more tangible – and to convey the urgency of the issue.
