EnBW and Wien Energie invest in Easelink

Dusseldorf The charging station is hardly recognizable as such: a square plate narrow enough to fit between two car tires. But behind the plate is a sophisticated technology from the start-up Easelink, in which investors are now investing 8.3 million euros.

“Easelink automatically connects the vehicle to the charging station,” says Anton Arts, managing partner at investor Set Ventures, which is leading the funding round. Normally, an e-car owner has to connect their vehicle to a charging station or home socket using a charging cable. With the Easelink solution, this step is not necessary because the car makes contact with the charging surface independently.
