Europe’s most valuable education start-up: Gostudent

Dusseldorf The first question to the managers of Gostudent was tough. A participant of the “Ask-Us-Anything” question time on January 19 wanted to know why the sales team was “putting tutors and customers under so much pressure with mental games”.

The Handelsblatt has a recording of the 75-minute zoom meeting. For this discussion with the Gostudent representatives, the tutors first had to start a petition. Tutors are the names of the more than 15,000 freelance tutors who are responsible for digital lessons at Europe’s most valuable educational start-up.

The allegations that tutors raise against Gostudent are serious: The company is said to have violated data protection law. Salaries are not paid on time, tutors’ resignations are processed slowly. And then there is the alleged threat of locating internal critics by IP address.
