Berlin There is good news: German industrial production rose by 2.7 percent in January compared to the previous month. The industry is actually running at full speed with it. But the number reported by the Federal Statistical Office on Tuesday seems to be from a different era. Because it refers to the time before the outbreak of the Ukraine war.

Russia’s attack is a threat to the long-awaited upswing in Germany and Europe after the corona crisis. Sharply rising energy prices, new supply bottlenecks, possibly interrupted supply chains – the problems are complex.

The first companies and sectors are already sounding the alarm. And nobody knows how the situation will deteriorate in the event of a possible gas supply stop from Russia.
