Elton John disappointed in his statement: “At the end of the summer vacation I fell unhappy on a hard surface and have been suffering from considerable pain ever since. Despite physiotherapy and special treatment, the pain has gotten worse and is now leading to increasing difficulties in movement. “
His doctors therefore advised him to undergo an operation as soon as possible. He will do this to avert further complications. John announced that he would play a charity concert that had been promised for a long time on September 25th: In Paris he wants to perform at a concert for climate protection and against poverty. The musician wrote: “These five songs are physically much less strenuous than playing for three hours evening after evening during a tour and traveling to other countries at night between performances.”
He will continue his tour in New Orleans in January 2022. The 74-year-old has been on his farewell tour “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” since 2018. His concerts planned for October in Paris and other shows in Europe and Great Britain have now been postponed to June 2023.
