One of the biggest steps in Turkey’s digitalization e-Government continues to offer new services. Today, Vice President Fuat Oktay announced the Digital Identity-DETSIS, My Military Service and offline login features that will come to the e-Government system.

Vice President Fuat Oktay made important statements at the Digital Turkey 2023 meeting held in the complex today. He said that the e-Government system was used by nearly 62 million citizens as of January 1, 2023.
He said that nearly 7,000 services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 3 billion 600 million transactions were made in 2022. He also stated that he examined the feedback from the citizens and had a 95 percent satisfaction rate.

Stating that although there are thousands of services available, new ones continue to be added every day, Oktay announced that Digital Identity-DETSIS, My Military Service and offline login features are next, and that it will come in the first quarter of 2023.
Thanks to the My Military Service application, it now includes the pre-military period, the roll call period, the summons and dispatch period, the active duty period and the reserve period; business and transactions covering the entire military service process will be completed in e-Government.
He also announced that they are working on the Digital Identity feature, a blockchain-based login system to be used for the first time in e-Government. In this way, citizens will be able to log into the system with their unique IDs created in the blockchain network.
In the statement made by Fuat Oktay on the subject, it was said:
“We are bringing a blockchain-based login system, “digital identity”, which will be a new revolution in e-Government. With the login system that will work within the scope of the e-wallet application, our citizens will be able to enter the e-Government with digital identities created in the blockchain network.
This work, which we took the first steps today by evolving from online e-Government to offline e-Government, that is, a system where users can keep their digital information securely on their mobile phones, will develop and open the door to new conveniences.
As a result of the studies carried out with the Notaries Union of Turkey, ‘certificate of inheritance’, ‘e-appointment/application’, ‘e-detection’ and ‘registered vehicle inquiry on behalf of the person you are the heir of’ services were put into practice. With the ‘inquiry for the certificate of inheritance’ service, which we have started to offer through the e-Government Gateway, our citizens can easily access the certificates of inheritance they inherit without going to the notary public. Our efforts to digitize notary services will continue with administrative regulation improvements..
Of the 208 decisions we have taken in 13 Digital Turkey and Reducing Bureaucracy Meetings we have held so far, 166, or 80 percent, have been completed. Within the scope of our other decisions, public services development processes and continuous performance and monitoring actions continue.
We will continue to be competitive in the international arena on the way to Digital Turkey by quickly implementing the agreed decisions at this meeting. In the digitalization journey, we will continue our digital development process with data-oriented transformation and cyber development moves. With an understanding that can preserve its national sensitivities without falling behind from global developments, we are starting to realize the century of digital in the 100th year of our Republic, in the Century of Turkey.”
