According to the information that emerged hours after this situation, the personal data and driver’s license information of the users were stolen from some car rental applications in Turkey.
Of course, we have to voluntarily share many of our data, from our identity information to our phone number, during the car rental process. Allegedly, this data was stolen from car rental companies. It was said that the ransomers wanted 3 BTC.

Safe storage of the data we deliver to the companies we receive service from is something we always expect. But lately, we have started to see the opposite in many platforms that we trust.
According to the claim shared with us on social media; A car rental company has lost its very important data to pirates. It is said that if the requested ransom is not given in return for the delivery of this information, the driver’s license information and contact information of well-known people will begin to be leaked.

TRT Haber’s Twitter account was hacked. Within a few minutes, hackers shared links in the account under the name of crypto.
Not only the information reaching us, but also the abnormal searches and messages sent to the customers of the relevant companies in dictionaries began to be shared. We requested the companies mentioned to inform their social media accounts about the situation, and we have not yet received a response.
