Semi-finals at “The Masked Singer”! Two masks fell on Saturday evening – and moderator Matthias Opdenhövel (51) was worried right from the start: “I don’t even know whether our advice team can take so much excitement.”
As always, it consisted of singer Rea Garvey (48) and presenter Ruth Moschner (45), this time half of the cult duo Joko & Klaas was there as a guest judge: Joko Winterscheidt (42).
Six costumes gave everything again – but it was particularly difficult for Teddy. He had already failed because of a corona infection and was not only dissed once by Rea. He had already asked for forgiveness for this with a song.
After the teddy performance of “Englishman in New York” by Sting, Rea was really emotional this time too: “I would say I love you. You really fight. And I say I love you because I think you are someone I respect incredibly. I think the person in there is Palina. Palina, I love you. “
But there was not so much love from Joko! It was based on the guesswork of Thore Schölermann (37) last week: “Last week Thore said Annemarie Carpendale.
In the end there was just such a little laugh. When Annemarie moderated something with a laugh, it sounded exactly the same. ”This was followed by a not exactly friendly statement:“ Teddy always pretends to be a bit older, Annemarie is no longer the youngest … ”
When it was decided that Teddy really had to take off his mask, Joko quickly rowed back: “In the event that it’s Annemarie Carpendale, I want to make it clear again that it was a joke with age!”
And Annemarie Carpendale really was under the teddy bear’s head! The confusion was great – after all, she almost always moderates the magazine “red” directly in the “Masked Singer” connection and interviews the retired candidates.
For the presenter, this meant a lot of stress: “I changed my clothes 18 times for the first show so that it wouldn’t be noticed.” Opdenhövel wondered how things would continue after the show: “The whole story afterwards on ‘red’ – that means , are you talking to yourself, or what? “

And who was in the axolotol?
But it was not only over for the moderator in the semifinals, the funny Mexican tailed amphibian, the axolotol, also had to say goodbye.
The performed “Fight for your right” by the Beastie Boys and had obvious fun, whirled across the stage and knocked over all the props. Matthias Opdenhövel aptly remarked: “It escalates more every week.”
The Axolotl had already caused a stir in the last few episodes with its love letters for the guest jurors – and this time it had one with it and wanted to show Joko his shell collection. He stroked the axolotl belly in gratitude: “I love you!”

His tip was then rather confusing – he suspected moderator Elton (50) in costume: “I think I already know your shell collection.”
Ruth could hardly believe it: “Sorry, you know the shell collection from Elton?”
But Rea didn’t find the tip so absurd: “Who doesn’t know Elton’s shell collection? I always fluctuate between male and female. Today I’m with female. This woman has an amazing charisma. I think it’s Martina Hill! “
Ruth Moschner, however, guessed Anke Engelke (55) and now also made Joko think again: “I’m in the studio with Anke for” Who steals the show from me “, and Anke is out immediately after the show!”
Now there was a point from Rea who etched: “Yes, because it’s YOUR show!”
Ruth Moschner then even threw actress Andrea Sawatzki (58) into the room. So the tension was great when the Axolotl had to reveal the secret shortly after its second performance “Time Warp” from the “Rocky Horror Picture Show”.
In fact, Andrea Sawatzki came out from behind the mask and was the first to disrupt presenter Opdenhövel: “What kind of funny noodle are you?”

The actress was still struggling with the heat, however: “I had a little fan in my head. He always blew somewhere else and not in my face. “
For them, however, the show was a highlight overall: “The best part was the people in front of and behind the stage. It was great fun, thank you very much! “
The next week is about the “Masked Singer” trophy. In the final there are Mülli Müller, Resi, the caterpillar, the heroine and the pug.
