Hot-tub level: Florida ocean records ‘unprecedent’ temperatures


Staying on the theme of the effects of climate change visible this summer. Water in the US State of Florida’s Manatee Bay hit hot tub levels on Tuesday, soaring to an astonishing 101.1 degrees Fahrenheit – or over 38 degrees Celsius. Meteorologists say that could potentially be the hottest seawater ever measured, and comes as sea surface temperatures worldwide break monthly records for heat. FRANCE 24’s Emerald Maxwell explains.
