Grovelling celebs who spouted vile Kate conspiracies are shameful bullies – they should go to ground, says royal expert

VILE celebrities who dished out conspiracies about Princess Kate’s health should be “ashamed” of their bullying and go to ground, a royal expert blasted.

The royal, 42, shared the shock cancer news in an emotional video on Friday.

Kate revealed she had begun preventative chemotherapy treatment, after tests following her abdominal surgery diagnosed the disease.

The mum-of-three shared how she is “well and getting stronger every day” but wanted to protect their privacy.

She spoke about breaking the news to children Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5 – telling them she was going to be “OK.”

Now the incessant conspiracy theorists splurging unfair and baseless rumours about Kate’s wellbeing are crawling out of the woodwork to apologise.

Incredibly, some disgraceful bullies hiding behind their screens are still suggesting the royal’s video was AI generated.

Hugo Vickers, royal historian, told The Sun: “The conspiracy theorists, went in big time in the last few days.

I imagine that they will go to ground to be quite honest, because in a sense, they are bullies. They’re pushing it the whole time.”

“It says an awful lot about the mindset of these people. The high profile ones, but also the very irresponsible members of the general public who just sort of weighed in as well.

“It was extremely unattractive because, we all love the Princess of Wales, and she’s done a fantastic job.

“She’s really faultless in everything she’s done ever since she married Prince William.”

The expert added all the vile trolling and ‘Katespiracies’ would have “made things much more difficult” than they already were.

“I think quite simply, they should be feeling very ashamed of themselves,” he added.

“I think quite a few people have popped up and apologised, and rightly so.

More from Kate’s emotional message…

“This is not something you should be joking about, or bonding about all sorts of absurd theories.”

It comes as Owen Jones and Blake Lively have been grovelling after fuelling conspiracy theories.

Owen Jones, a left-wing activist and journalist, wrote on X: “As someone who speculated on this without considering it could be a serious health condition, I’m very ashamed to be honest, and all the very best to her.”

Actress Blake Lively also issued an apology after she mocked Kate’s edited Mother’s Day photo.

“I’m sure no one cares today but I feel like I have to acknowledge this,” she penned on her Instagram account.

“I made a silly post around the ‘Photoshop fails’ frenzy, and oh man, that post has me mortified today.

“I’m sorry. Sending love and well wishes to all, always.”

Meanwhile TV personality Kerry Katona also regretted her previous words.

She told The Sun: “There were so many conspiracy theories. I’ll hold my hands up.

Fans have called for Kim Kardashian to say sorry for her “on my way to go find Kate” Instagram post.

Conspiracy theorists went mad after Prince William pulled out of a memorial service at the end of February due to a “personal matter”.

It is now understood the prince took his time away after the family received Kate’s cancer news.

More speculation was sparked after the princess admitted to editing her Mother’s Day picture.

The bullying and “madness of social media” led to The Sun calling for the world to Lay Off Kate.

More trolling was incited when the royal was spotted with William at the Windsor Farm Shop – her first public appearance since surgery.

An investigation has also now been launched by the UK’s privacy watchdog, the Information Commissioner’s Office, into allegations there were attempts to access Kate’s private medical records at the London Clinic where she had her surgery.

LOOKING AHEAD

Despite the sensitive nature of Kate’s announcement, some conspiracy theorists are still spouting rubbish.

“You will always have conspiracy theories because if you’re a conspiracy theorist, that’s what you do,” continued Mr Vickers.

“There are always going to be people coming up with theories and they always will so that you can’t stop.

“I think that anyone who pops up with some ludicrous theory about the princess would get very short shrift.

“And so I imagine that they will go to ground to be quite honest, because in a sense, they are bullies. They’re pushing it the whole time.

“And as somebody rightly said years ago, inside every bully, there’s a coward desperately trying to stay in.”

‘COMPLICATED BUSINESS’

The heart-wrenching announcement comes as the Royal Family also deal with King Charles’ cancer diagnosis.

The monarch, 75, was candid about going in for a corrective prostate surgery in January – during which doctors then detected the disease.

It is not known what type of cancer His Majesty has, only that it is not prostate.

As both King Charles and his daughter-in-law have taken a step back from royal duties, Prince William has stepped up alongside Queen Camilla to shoulder the burden.

Mr Vickers continued: “You know, they they must all be going through an incredibly difficult time because, you know, the king is ill.

“The problem of being Prince of Wales is you’re a heartbeat away from the throne.

“And if if your father’s ill, you naturally are going to think more.

“I don’t like to say it, but you’re bound to think that. So that is an added stress on top of the whole complicated business of getting well.”

The royal historian sent his well-wishes to the princess and her family.

“Let’s just hope that with the spring coming and the summer coming she will have time to get better.

“I’m sure she has very good medical help.

“And let’s hope that they’ve caught everything in good time and that we’ll soon hear much better news on her account.”

KATE’S STATEMENT

It comes as Kate shared in her statement on Friday evening: “In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time, it was thought my condition was non cancerous.

“The surgery was successful.

“However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present.

“My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment.

“This of course came as a huge shock.”

The princess continued: “It has taken me time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment.

“As I have said to them; I am well and I’m getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal; in my mind body and spirit.”

The royal also thanked her husband Prince William for his support.

The diagnosis was the reason that William pulled out of a thanksgiving service at Windsor last month for a “personal matter”, it is understood.

A Kensington Palace spokesperson confirmed Kate started a course of preventative chemotherapy in late February and is now on a “recovery pathway”.

They were unable to say when chemotherapy treatment will end and said Kate had spoke to the King.

The Palace also confirmed Prince William will continue to “balance supporting his wife and family and maintaining his official duties as he has done since the start of the year”.

The spokesperson added: “The Princess wanted to share this information when she and The Prince felt it was right for them as a family.

“The Princess will return to official duties when she is cleared to do so by her medical team. She is in good spirits and is focused on making a full recovery.”

It’s time to show Kate more respect, blasts Sun’s Royal Editor

THE Sun’s Royal Editor Matt Wilkinson says it’s time cruel trolls lay off Kate as he gives his insight into her shock cancer diagnosis.

It is sometimes hard to remember and understand that this is a family and they are going through very tough experiences at the moment.

I find it very interesting that she does speak about how they’ve taken time, they’ve needed time, to process this information and also tell their three children George, Charlotte and Louis, which would be an incredibly difficult conversation.

A lot of people who have poked fun at Kate purely to gain hits online, such as Kim Kardashian, need to have a hard look at themselves and apologise for their behaviour.

People have been asking where’s Kate? Well, she’s been coping with this cancer diagnosis and having to tell her young family.

Much of the abuse has also come from so-called ‘Sussex Squad’ members on Twitter who are fans of Harry and Meghan. This has been a shameful episode and people should show the Princess of Wales more respect.

We know the Princess of Wales went into hospital for abdominal surgery in January. That surgery was successful and it was non-cancerous. However, subsequent tests have found cancer and at the end of February she embarked on the start of preventive chemotherapy.

They’ve taken time to process this and Kate has announced this to the world today.

They’ve chosen today because it is the last day of school for George, Charlotte and Louis and it means that they can now huddle together as a family for the next couple of weeks away from all the drama and really come together and deal with this cancer diagnosis.

A cancer diagnosis that Kate has said she has found shocking, but it’s also a cancer diagnosis that many people around the world will listen to and will have sympathy for and empathy for because there are many families that are also going through this kind of situation and having to break the news to their children, as in this case.

Kate has been living her life in the spotlight for many, many years and there has been some very nasty stuff posted online. Lots of bullying, we would suggest, about Kate and about why she has been missing for the last couple of weeks.

We understand that wasn’t a motivation for her coming out today to make the statement but it’s obviously something that has dominated the front pages and dominated social media online. Questions about what has happened to Kate. Now she has answered it and said that while everyone has been discussing where she is, that actually she has been coping with the diagnosis of cancer and digesting this with her family.

She has told the rest of the Royal Family. The King – who also has his own diagnosis of cancer and is also undergoing treatment – has been made aware. The Royal Family will be circling the wagons.

I think she will be getting a huge amount of support from family and friends and she has spoken about how William, obviously, has shown her so much support.

They will now be off for a couple of weeks with the three children for Easter. William will return after the Easter holidays. And The Princess of Wales may well return.

She says she is full of hope, she says that she hopes that she will get better, she’s told the kids that she will be OK.

So we may see The Princess of Wales in coming months attending engagements but we really do need to give her time as she has asked to see how the preventive chemotherapy gets on.
