DeFi Platform Hacked! Ethereum and USDCs Stolen!

“The wstETH/ETH Curve measure vaults in Arbitrum and Optimism were exploited a few hours ago and we immediately paused the dForce Vaults.

Other parts of the protocol remained intact, and with dForce Lending, user funds are SAFE.

On Feb 10 our wstETH/ETH Curve vaults on Arbitrum and Optimism were exploited and we paused all vaults immediately.

The vulnerability was identified and the exploit was specific to dForce’s wstETH/ETH-Curve vault.

An exploiter has managed to exploit the Curve pool reentry vulnerability to manipulate the price of wstETH/ETH.

This led to the liquidation of 1,031.42 ETH and 30.31 ETH equivalents of wstETH/ETH Curve LP tokens in Arbitrum and Optimum, respectively.

It also created $2.3 million in protocol debt.

We’ve spoken to security firm SlowMist team and our ecosystem partners to further investigate the matter, and we would like to offer a reward to the abuser if the funds are returned.”
