Apple’s WWDC conference is two weeks away, and the company is preparing to introduce the new artificial intelligence features and home screen customization updates it will offer in iOS 18. According to a new claim, one of the remarkable iOS 18 features will be the ability to create custom emoji using artificial intelligence.
Mark Gurman: “You will be able to create custom emoji with artificial intelligence in iOS 18”
Bloomberg writer Mark Gurman, known for his Apple news, summarized the innovations expected in iOS 18 and macOS 15. Reportedly, in addition to the artificial intelligence features that will be brought to applications such as notifications, Photos and Notes, Apple plans to make the emoji creation tool remarkable among users:
“One notable feature will bring AI to emojis. The company is developing software that allows users to instantly create custom emojis while messaging. This means you’ll have a brand new emoji for every occasion, beyond the emoji options available on iPhone and other devices.”
Apple adds new emojis to iPhone with iOS updates every year. For example, several new emoji characters were added to the iPhone with iOS 17.4 in March. This new AI feature means users won’t have to wait for yearly updates for more emoji customization.
Gurman also wrote in today’s newsletter that iOS 18 will allow users to recolor app icons to make their home screens more personal. The update will also allow users to place app icons and widgets more freely on their home screens, allowing them to be used without adhering to the current fixed-align grid layout.
