Decide “in a few weeks” about boosters for everyone

The German Association of General Practitioners has sharply criticized the statements of the Executive Minister of Health Jens Spahn (CDU) on booster vaccinations. The federal chairman Ulrich Weigeldt told the “Welt” (Online Monday, Print Tuesday): “Open all vaccination centers, booster vaccinations without age restrictions – scientific and medical knowledge and the experiences of the past months will be wiped off the table.”

He sees no reason why the practices that “finally ignited the vaccination turbo should not be able to provide the booster vaccinations – if no obstacles are put in their way,” said Weigeldt.

Spahn had told the “Rheinische Post” (Monday): “In order to enable as many people as possible to get a booster vaccination as quickly as possible, the federal states should make the vaccination centers that they have been on standby ready since the end of September ready to start again.”
