Dax slightly up – investors hold back after company balance sheets

Dusseldorf Investors are initially cautious on Thursday morning: the Dax was up 0.3 percent on Thursday in the first few minutes of trading at 15,949 points. On Wednesday it closed 0.4 percent lower at 15,896 points.

On Thursday, the leading German index will be dominated by the quarterly figures: several large Dax companies opened their books even before the start of trading: Merck, RWE, Deutsche Telekom, Bayer and Hannover Re. The results were mixed.
