Dusseldorf At the end of the week on Friday, the German stock market fell slightly. The Dax closed 0.3 percent in the red at 15,206 points. The leading index ended yesterday’s trading day 1.8 percent up at 15,246 points.

The US Labor Market Report had only a short-term impact. After the figures were published, the Dax temporarily jumped to a new daily high of 15,268 points, but then fell back to its starting level.

In the United States, unemployment fell significantly in September. The unemployment rate fell compared to August by 0.4 percentage points to 4.8 percent, the lowest level in the post-pandemic era. Analysts had expected a much smaller decline to 5.1 percent.

At the same time, the increase in new jobs is lower than ever this year. The positive revision of the previous month’s report cannot make up for the small number of new posts.
