Frankfurt After a roller coaster ride on Thursday, the last trading day of the week for the Dax was similarly turbulent. The leading index started trading with significant price gains, in the meantime the Dax was more than two percent up, the daily high was 12,676 points. After a rather weak start to trading on Wall Street, the leading German index had to give up some of its gains in the afternoon and closed around 0.7 percent higher at 12,437 points.
The trading day for the European stock exchange barometer EuroStoxx 50 was similar. After a plus of more than two percent, the index was still around 0.6 percent higher at 3381 points at the close of trading.
