Lourdes, who made her model debut at New York Fashion Week in 2018, is underlining this again. In an interview with Interview Magazine, she says, “My mother is such a control freak and has controlled me all my life, so I had to be completely independent of her as soon as I finished high school.”

“People think I am this talented, rich child who has been given everything, but I am not,” Lourdes emphasized in September in Vogue. Even her college would have paid her out of pocket.
Nevertheless, she looks up to her very rich mother. She would have raised her so independently in the first place. She told Interview Magazine: “I think my mother saw all the other children of famous people and said to herself, ‘My kids won’t be like that.'”
Her mother Madonna once gave her the most important advice of her life: “It’s not about the money or your face or how hot you look. It’s about what you bring into the world and what you leave behind, ”says Lourdes.
Lourdes thinks nothing of Instagram, where her mother has more than 16 million followers. The gigantic social media platform describes Lourdes as “the greatest lie of all time”. People there would create personas of themselves that had nothing to do with their real identities. Lourdes on the other hand: “I am the same person everywhere.”

Lourdes Leon is the oldest child of Madonna; her father is personal trainer Carlos Leon (55). Madonna also has a son Rocco (19) with the director Guy Ritchie (52, married until 2008). The singer’s family also includes four adopted children: David (15), Mercy (15) and the twins Estere and Stella (8).
