Starlink is literally counting the days to start its activities in Turkey. Recently, Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Ömer Fatih Sayan announced that the company applied to start operations in our country and that they were evaluating the request. While these developments were taking place, CEO Elon Musk quietly made an appointment for the General Manager of Starlink Turkey.
Tesla Türkiye General Manager Kemal Geçer became Starlink Türkiye General Manager
The cooperation between Elon Musk and Türkiye is increasing. Tesla’s start of sales in Turkey a while ago, its Starlink application, the famous billionaire’s visit to the Turkish House in New York and the possibility of being a guest at Izmir Teknofest show that these relations will only get stronger in the future. There is even the possibility of Tesla opening a factory and producing in our country.
Now Musk has made an important appointment for Starlink Türkiye operations. Kemal Geçer, who has been serving as the General Manager of Tesla Turkey until now, was also appointed as the General Manager of Tesla Turkey. The decision in question was recently published in the Trade Registry Gazette. Kemal Geçer, a very successful businessman, was the general manager of Lufthansa Airlines before his work at Tesla.

The surprise name of Izmir Teknofest may be Elon Musk. Will Musk, who was invited to the event by President Erdoğan, come to Turkey?
In fact, this situation is much more important than it seems. Unfortunately, we live in times when foreign brands often have a habit of appointing foreign general managers to our country. That being the case, it is quite critical that Elon Musk chose a Turk as the head of two key operations.
